Realizing When We are Wrong

But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up. And he behaved very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites had done, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. So it was, when Ahab heard those words, that he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his body, and fasted and lay in sackcloth, and went about mourning. And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, "See how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the calamity in his days..." ~ 1 Kings 21: 25-29 

Dear Father God in Heaven, You are holy and there is no other like You! May Your kingdom come and will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and also in our hearts.  Thank you that when we sin, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness...no matter how far we have sold ourselves to do wicked.  Father please make our sins known to us and teach us how to repent.

Thank You that Your blood covers us. I praise Your name God!

Who Will Do This?

Then a prophet came to see King Ahab and told him, "This is what the LORD says: Do you see all these enemy forces? Today I will hand them all over to you.  Then you will know that I am the LORD." ~ 1 Kings 20:13

Thank You Father God for those You have appointed in our lives to speak truth into our lives. Thank You for the history that You gave us in the Bible. Many of us are facing impossible situations right now.  Especially if we find ourselves in the middle of a war, be it literally, physically or mentally.  Every war is spiritual. Help us to see that.  Help us to remember that we don't fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, and powers, rulers of the darkness of this age and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  May we seek to put on Your armor every morning and throughout our day. 

I pray for deliverance Lord, the kind of deliverance that will show the world that You are God and there is no other. It is coming, and we will soon see, Your hand move. 

I pray for those who don't believe that You are God and the true Messiah and ask for a continuing work of Your Holy Spirit on their hearts, to prepare them to realize the atonement You made for each of us on the cross. Jew or Gentile, high class to poverty level.  You created every single soul and every single soul needs You. 

Send us wisdom and aid, God.

Let there be peace Jerusalem.

Psalm 37:10 & 11

 The Heritage of the Righteous and Calamity of the Wicked

For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Lord Jesus, Thank You so much for being the Prince of Peace. Thank You for being our LORD and Savior.  You are holy Lord, Your ways are higher than ours and Your thoughts are higher than ours. I pray for peace Lord.  In our hearts and minds and in the earth. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I know that Your kingdom will come and Your Will, will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Evil will be no more. That is hard to comprehend, since that is all we have ever known down here. Being gentle and lowly hardly seems to be the proper way to deal with enemies. Help me (and us) to understand Your way of doing things. Help me to act assertively with calm faith and humility before You. You said that vengeance is Yours, help me to leave it in Your hands and trust and obey You with hope of deliverance. Just like David did when he stood before his enemies having faith beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are God and there is no other. No matter how big the enemy appears to be. You are Bigger! You are the Biggest! Help me to walk in that faith every minute of every day. in Jesus' Name I pray, AMEN!

Galatians 4:4-6

Son's and heirs

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"

Father God in heaven, thank You so much for Your Holy Spirit You put inside of my heart that allows me the closeness to You and enables me to not just whisper, but cry out Abba, Father!  You adopted me, when I asked You to come into my heart and clean me up.  Daddy, I need you. You tell me in Your word to take all of my thoughts captive to You and Your holiness, and I am struggling. You said that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but the evil dark principalities that rule the darkness of this age. We wrestle against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. So it is clear to me that I cannot fight this battle on my own.  It is by the Spirit of Your Son Jesus that You put in my heart crying Abba Father! and only by Him. It is the same way You called on Your Father as You cried in anguish in the garden of Gethsemane, You called for Your Daddy. "All things are possible for You", You said, and You bravely prayed for His will to be done. Obedient to the end. By that same Spirit, for Father God is Spirit, You were raised from the dead. Thank You for showing me the way. Help me to be brave and not comfortable in my own thoughts.  The enemy will do everything he can to knock me down, but he will not succeed unless You allow him to.  Help me to trust in Father God like You did. 

Lord, I ask forgiveness of my sins. Thank You for Your forgiveness and for cleansing me of all unrighteousness.  Now, in the next five minutes, I very well could use another Holy Spirit shower.  Keep it coming Lord.  Thank You for pulling me back to You and continue please, to do so. In this world we have tribulations, help me to be of good cheer and to have hope, because You have overcome the world! I need Your help to repent and choose a different way, Your way.  I pray this in Jesus' Name, AMEN!

Ezekiel 36:23-27

Renewal of Israel and a promise for all peoples

"And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD," says the Lord GOD,  "when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statures, and you will keep My judgments and do them."

Father in Heaven, I praise You and thank You for all that You have promised! You are the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and You have grafted the gentiles in to the vine that is rooted from You! I thank You for Your long-suffering and unfailing love.  Thank You for Your heart toward Israel. Your name will be sanctified among the nations! I pray that You would turn our hearts from stone to flesh, that our eyes would be opened to see Your holiness and love. Turn our hearts towards You and away from anything that takes up our thoughts and the spaces of our hearts more than You do.  From You we can receive the salve for our eyes that we may see and the beautiful and righteous covering of our sins. Please help us to put away our self-sufficiency and depend on You for You are our strength and provider! Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that dwells in our hearts when we receive the gift of Your salvation! Thank You for not being done with Israel, or any of us yet. 

I love You LORD Jesus, may Your will be done and Your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven! AMEN!

Psalm 122

 The Joy of Going to the House of the LORD

I was glad when they said to me, "let us go into the house of the LORD"

Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!

Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together,

Where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD,

to the Testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.

For thrones are set there for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

"May they prosper who love you

Peace be within your walls,

Prosperity within your palaces."

For the sake of my brethren and companions,

I will now say, "Peace be within you."

Because of the house of the LORD our God

I will seek your good.

Father in heaven, Your house, LORD, Your throne room is where we come now to make supplication for Your people.  Your word says that You will one day reign on the throne of David and I have faith in Your word that it will come to pass! Help me to love You with all my heart mind, soul and strength and love my neighbor as I do myself. Help me to love all mankind. I pray not only for the Jewish people but for the Arab people as well. God, You made them all. They are each precious in Your sight. May the veil over their hearts also be torn away and their eye's opened to the Truth.  

I pray for the atrocities to stop.  I pray for the protection of the innocents and deliverance of the hostages.  I pray that You would give them a spirit of love, power and a sound mind amidst the terror that is occurring. I pray for soldiers everywhere to look to You for guidance, safety and wisdom. I pray for heavenly reinforcements to continue acting on their behalf. Let  there be a Joshua or a David that arises out of their midst to trust in You, let courage beget courage, hope beget hope and trust beget trust. 

May there be peace that comes to Jerusalem.  I pray for every soul that doesn't know You to come to a realization of the atonement Your Son Jesus made for us all on the cross and His resurrection from death to life.   I pray for You to bind the strong man, and cast out evil.  You are the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.   You are the Great I AM and there is no other. Thank You Father God for Your loving care, mercy, and forgiveness! In the Name of Your Precious Son, Jesus I pray, AMEN!
